Special Needs
Many museums across the South East work with Special Needs Schools.
Surrey Museums Consultative Committee Education Group held a forum attended by teachers from Special Schools and museum staff and volunteers, to discuss how museums might best cater for children with Special Educational Needs. Download a report to find out how museums can work with Special Schools.
If you have a child with special needs in a mainstream school class please ensure that the museum staff are informed before the visit so that they can tailor the visit to the needs of the child.
