Chatham Historic Dockyard
Chatham Historic Dockyard has expanded its Themed weeks, with great success. The Living Literacy Days helped pupils to get a feel for life in a submarine in World War Two. In addition they have improved the range of support materials, teacher support and information at the Dockyard.
"Our Heritage - Poster Campaign" involved young people aged 13 - 15. Its purpose was to involve young people in the Dockyard and give them a sense of ownership of the Dockyard. It also served the dual purpose of finding a way to attract a family audience from the local area, using the "insider" knowledge of the young people to target advertising at this specific audience. Find out more on theProject Stories page.
A resource pack for Key Stage 3 teachers and pupils studying Empire,Trade and Industry has been developed. Find out more by following the link under Measuring Success at the bottom of this page.
See Chatham Historic Dockyard pages on Learning for more information.
