Family Learning
Family learning covers all forms of informal and formal learning that involve more than one generation. Family members can include friends as well as family, reflecting the range of support relationships that individuals rely on in the twenty-first century.
There are all sorts of activities and events that museums can organise for family audiences, at week-ends and in school holidays.
Local areas may have family learning organisations which museums could link to organise events in partnership.
You can also help families to learn about your collections through e-learning or design your exhibitions with a family audience in mind.
